For peace and stability in the region, it is necessary to sign a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Erika Olson is the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State overseeing policy for Southern Europe and the Caucasus, announced this in a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov, Azerbaijani mass media reported.
Olson added noted that the American side is always ready to support bilateral negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
