The situation in the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia became tense and a brawl started after the remarks by opposition MP Artur Sargsyan on Wednesday.
NA speaker Alen Simonyan called in the security officers, and urged them to remove Sargsyan from the NA Sessions’ Hall.
Security officers were forcibly taking this legislator out, during which he was shouting.
Opposition lawmaker Artur Khachatryan added: "All this was [ruling force MP] Hovik Aghazaryan's provocation, it was his being undisciplined, it was his desire to butter up to all the [Armenian] authorities."
And outside the NA Sessions’ Hall, a slight scuffle began between opposition MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan and security officers. The other legislators tried to divide them and create a barrier between them.
