The fire that started last night in the Ikitelli Organized Industrial Zone in Istanbul Başakşehir is still raging. While many teams were trying to put out the fire, collapses occurred in the building during work, TRT Haber reports.
The fire started on the roof of the plastic goods factory. Eight workers who were on the roof were rescued by the firemen.
Although the fire was contained for a short moment, it flared up again, engulfing the entire building and spreading to its other parts.
The walls of the factory collapsed.
Istanbul Governor Davut Gül and Istanbul Police Chief Zafer Aktas arrived at the scene to conduct an investigation, the Turkish media outlet wrote.
