An agreement on twinning between Minsk and Yerevan has already been prepared, and it will be signed during Yerevan mayor's visit to Minsk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Belarus Razmik Khumaryan told BelTA.

According to Khumaryan, trade and economic cooperation is facilitated by the work of the joint intergovernmental commission, which alternately conducts sessions in Armenia and Belarus.

He also drew attention to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation. The regular session of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission on Cooperation between the National Assembly of Belarus and the National Assembly of Armenia was held in Minsk on June 6.

Belarus and Armenia successfully cooperate in regional integration associations - CIS, CSTO, EAEU.

“Mutual recognition of each other is very important,” the Armenian Ambassador stressed. He is sure that the holding of events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations will also contribute to this.

“In particular, on June 29 Minsk will host the opening of an exhibition jointly organized by the Armenian Embassy in Belarus, BelTA and Armenpress. It will present Armenia through the eyes of a Belarusian photojournalist and Belarus through the eyes of an Armenian photojournalist,” the diplomat continued. “In May, an Armenian photojournalist visited your country to capture the beauty of Belarus, including the endless sunny fields of rapeseed - this picture is very unusual for us and impresses with its beauty. Mountains are more characteristic of the Armenian landscape. In turn, the Belarusian photojournalist will talk about Armenia.”
