Large-scale international exercises of firefighters and rescuers have started in Georgia, with the participation of units from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Moldova, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia informed Monday, RFE/RL reported.
The exercises will be held until Friday. They have been organized with the expert and technical support of the European Union.
The purpose of these exercises is to develop effective methods of combating forest fires and to coordinate the joint actions of the relevant services in the conditions of major natural disasters.
Not only automotive equipment, but also aviation participates in these exercises that started in Georgia.
