The face-to-face meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has started in Baku, the Azerbaijani media report.

Erdogan arrived in Azerbaijan Monday on a state visit.

According to the tradition, after being re-elected, he made his first visit to the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus," where he demanded to recognize the independence of this Turkish-occupied part of Cyprus.

And from there, Erdogan headed to Azerbaijani capital Baku.
