By the decision of the panel of judges, the first prize of the 19th Khachaturian International Competition in Yerevan was awarded to pianist Arina Antonosian (Armenia). This was announced Tuesday evening during the closing gala concert of this competition.

The first prize-winner received a monetary award in the amount of Armenian dram equivalent to 10,000 US dollars. Also, Antonosian will get the opportunity to perform in concert with the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra during the 2024/25 season.

Special prizes were also awarded within the framework of the competition.

Furthermore, the four finalists of the competition and one more pianist selected by the panel of judges will have the opportunity to participate in the 2024 'Classic Piano' International Piano Competition in Dubai.

The Khachaturian International Competition is organized by the Aram Khachaturian Cultural Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia. The competition has been a member of the Geneva-based World Federation of International Music Competitions (FMCIM) since 2013, and it operates under the rules set by this federation.
