The commander of the Iranian police in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan, Brigadier General Doostali Jalilian, said security forces eliminated a terrorist group in the southeastern province on Friday, Mehr reports.

Jalilian told journalists that a group of armed bandits in Peugeot stuffed with ammunition and weapons planned to commit acts of sabotage in the country.

The group was surrounded by security forces in a village in Hamoun County. During the operation, two of their members were killed on the spot, while four others were detained by security forces in the vicinity of that village.

General Jalilian added that one volunteer Basij member was killed and two other Basij fighters were wounded in clashes with the armed group.
