In the first half of 2023, within the framework of assessing and summing up the degree of readiness of the troops, Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, 1st Deputy Minister of Defense, Edward Asryan conducted comprehensive checks of combat training, readiness, capability, as well as the organization of command and support of the troops.

The forces and means of both combined arms and military and special troops were involved in the checks.
