Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he is giving priority to the progress of the special military operation, dealing with related issues throughout the working day, Interfax reports.

“Well, of course, I give [the special military operation] priority. The day begins and ends with it,” he said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin for the program “Moscow. Kremlin. Putin” on Russia-1 TV channel (VGTRK).

The President of the Russian Federation explained that he was holding conferences, meetings, negotiations by telephone, discussing issues related to the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex and the use of weapons produced by them.

“We are talking about their effectiveness, we are talking about where and what else needs to be worked on, where and what is missing. We are talking about how, in what ways, what steps, at what pace we need to build up our efforts. Of course, we always talk about financial security, always! So that the production of weapons and equipment proceeds at the required pace and volume, with proper quality, and at the same time, to fulfill all our social obligations to the country, to the people, so that we can solve social problems,” Putin said.

At the same time, he stressed that efforts in the field of increasing defense capability should not harm the economy.
