Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with US President Joe Biden on Sunday, reports Gordon.ua.

The presidents discussed the course of military operations and the processes taking place in Russia.

Zelenskyy thanked the US president for his unfailing support to Ukraine, and especially to the Patriots, the media report.

"It is important to further increase Ukraine's ability to protect our air. In this context, I also thanked for the support of the combat coalition," added the president of Ukraine.

Also, the leaders of the two countries discussed the further expansion of cooperation in defense, emphasizing long-range weapons.

"We are grateful for the willingness of the United States and the American people to stand side by side with Ukraine until the complete liberation of all our territories within internationally recognized borders,” said Zelenskyy. “We agreed on our positions ahead of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, discussed the continuation of work towards the implementation of the Ukrainian peace resolution and the preparation of the Global Peace Summit."
