The Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Russia has published a video in which Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu is seen visiting the "advanced command post of one of the formations of the western unit" of the Russian troops.

The Russian defense minister listened to the report by the commander of this unit, Colonel General Yevgeny Nikiforov, and held a consultation with the commanders, the Russian MoD reported.

These are the first shots of Shoigu after the uprising which was organized by Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner private mercenary group, who had sharply criticized the Russian minister of defense.

On the night of June 24, the Wagner mercenaries entered Rostov-on-Don city, and some of them moved to Moscow. Wagner's units had not reached the Russian capital, on the evening of June 24, Prigozhin announced that after talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, the mercenaries were "turning back their convoys" and "leaving in the opposite direction to the field camps, according to the plan." During the uprising, Sergey Shoigu did not appear before the public and did not comment on what happened.
