We are concerned about the armed incident and the violation of the ceasefire regime that occurred. Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, said this at Wednesday’s ministry press briefing, commenting on Azerbaijan's military aggression last night, as a result of which four Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) soldiers were killed.

"We call on the parties to exercise restraint and settle all disputed issues in a peaceful, political, diplomatic way, and to collaborate with the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent [in Nagorno-Karabakh]," said Zakharova.

"We believe that the de-escalation of the situation will contribute to the speedy unblocking of the Lachin corridor and the creation of normal conditions for the life of the civilian population," she added.
