Indeed, July 4 holds a special place in the hearts of Americans as a day of freedom and democratic principles. Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan of Armenia said this at an event Thursday at the US Embassy in Yerevan, congratulating on the US Independence Day anniversary, which is celebrated on July 4.

"Although our peoples are geographically far away from each other, they are united by shared values: commitment to democracy, freedom, and human rights. These principles laid down in the US Declaration of Independence are also close to the hearts of the Armenian people, who have fought for the advancement of these principles throughout their history," he said, in particular.

Also, Grigoryan congratulated the American Armenian community, and said they are proud that American Armenians have made a significant contribution to the sustainable development of American society.

The deputy PM noted that the partnership between Armenia and the US is continuously expanding, and reaching the level of strategic dialogue.

"We attach great importance to the deepening of trade and economic ties with the US," he said.

In addition, Mher Grigoryan thanked the US for developing the democratic institutions, strengthening the rule of law, promoting transparency, and assisting in the fight against corruption in Armenia.
