The judicial farce continues in Azerbaijan regarding Armenian servicemen Harutyun Hovakimyan and Karen Ghazaryan, who were abducted from the territory of Armenia by Azerbaijan in May.
At Wednesday’s court session, the information from the sheet data of Hovakimyan and Ghazaryan were read, their rights and obligations were announced, and lawyers and translators were provided to them, Haqqin.az reported.
"Prosecutor Orhan Rustamov publicized the indictment. Eltun Syarkyarli, Riza Allahverdiev, Asif Babashev, and Ibrahim Shikhlarov were identified as victims in the case. Currently, the trial is ongoing," the source added.
It is not known where these "victims" have appeared from; moreover, they have appeared literally on the eve of this judicial farce.
The aforesaid Armenian soldiers are accused of a number of serious crimes, including the intention of "committing a terrorist act on the territory of Azerbaijan."
These Armenian servicemen were taking food to combat positions when they were abducted by an Azerbaijani sabotage team that penetrated the territory of Armenia in May.
