In the first half of this year, the number of births in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) exceeded the number of deaths, and natural growth exceeded the indicator of the same period of last year. This was reported by the National Statistical Service of Artsakh in response to Armenpress' inquiry.

It added that 51.5 percent of children born in Artsakh in the first five months of the current year are boys, and 48.5 percent are girls.

Separately, the number of marriages and divorces registered in Artsakh has dropped in the first half of this year compared to the same period last year.
