Past daily of Armenia writes: In recent days, the ongoing developments around Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] are gaining new momentum, which has caused serious and deep concerns among the Artsakh Armenians.

According to Past newspaper’s information, the President of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, has found himself between "two stones." According to our sources, [Armenia’s PM] Nikol Pashinyan constantly pressures Harutyunyan to go and negotiate directly with Azerbaijan, whereas in this matter there are completely different views and approaches in Artsakh, which exclude any direct "contact" with Azerbaijan, and see dialogue with Azerbaijan through an internationally recognized platform.

Harutyunyan, for his part, shows externally that Pashinyan is not pressuring him, but he has internal fears that Pashinyan will launch campaigns against him, which are most likely linked to various episodes that took place during the war [in 2020], Harutyunyan's role during the events of 2018, in particular, bringing people from Artsakh to the demonstrations [in Armenia], etc.

According to the information of the newspaper, Harutyunyan is being demanded in Artsakh not to come up with toothless wording and present his approaches to Armenia’s authorities with the text of his faction's or NA [(National Assembly)] statement, but to deliver assessments with a direct text of Nikol Pashinyan's anti-Artsakh steps.

Moreover, they demand to declare in plain text that Pashinyan's policy of recognizing Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan is treason.
