The criminal case on the attempt on the life of Armenian Foreign Minister, former parliament speaker Ararat Mirzoyan on the part of one of the accused - T.A. was sent to court. The Prosecutor General's Office informs. 

T.A. was detained in February 2023 and charged, after which he was arrested.

According to the materials of the case, citizen T.A., having learned about the signing by the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan of a trilateral statement on the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh and the transfer of certain territories to Azerbaijan, went to the parliament building on the night of November 10, 2020. There, as well as near the government summer houses, mass disturbances were taking place at that moment. When he saw Mirzoyan's car at the intersection of Demirchyan Street and Proshyan Street, T.A. joined the other rioters, who stopped the car, pulled Mirzoyan out of the car and started beating him.

It was found that the activists kicked Mirzoyan in the head, as a result, the ex-speaker was hospitalized in an unconscious state, with numerous fractures and other bodily injuries.
