The possible change of the name and logo of Diyarbekirspor football club of Diyarbakir, Turkey has received a great reaction in Turkey.

Diyarbekirspor petitioned to the relevant authorities with a request to change its name and logo, Aydinlik reported.

The website presented a copy of the respective petition where the new logo and the new name were present. The fact that the new logo is almost the same as the coat of arms of Armenia stood out.

This has caused a big scandal in Turkey.

Officials of Diyarbekirspor have not yet confirmed or denied this information.
