Governor of Shirak Province Mushegh Muradyan on Wednesday hosted Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Masanori Fukushima, the Shirak provincial hall informs Armenian  News-NEWS.am.

Muradyan noted that he underscores cooperation and the strengthening of ties between the two friendly countries.

"It is appreciated that with the support of the Japanese government, initiatives aimed at increasing energy efficiency, various grant programs were implemented in the settlements of Shirak Province. I believe, with joint efforts, we will give a new impetus to the projects implemented so far and decentralized cooperation and there will be new practical initiatives," said the governor of Shirak.

Ambassador Fukushima, for his part, spoke about the strengthening of Armenian-Japanese relations, and emphasized their deepening in various domains.

"The Republic of Armenia is an important partner for Japan. We are interested in closer cooperation through joint work," he said.

Also, the parties discussed matters related to collaboration in culture and youth affairs

And at the end of the meeting, souvenirs were exchanged.
