Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan on Thursday met with Tobias Lindner, Minister of State at the German Federal Foreign Office, who is in Armenia on a regional visit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The parties discussed matters related to the bilateral agenda. Thoughts were exchanged on promoting cooperation in domains of mutual interest, including expanding trade and economic cooperation.

The deputy FM of Armenia and the minister of state of Germany noted that the frequency of bilateral high-level visits testifies to the dynamic development of relations and the high level of political dialogue between the two countries.

Also, the process of normalization of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, the security situation in the region, and the efforts made by Armenia to establish peace were presented to the German minister of state.

In addition the rights and security of the people of Nagorno-Karabakh were addressed, and the need to lift the illegal blockage of the Lachin corridor, and to end the aggressive rhetoric of Azerbaijan and the latter’s threat of using force was emphasized.
