Minister of State Gurgen Nersisyan on Friday presented a demand, on behalf of the people of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), to the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in capital Stepanakert, outside the ICRC office in Artsakh.
Accordingly, the people of Artsakh demand that the ICRC office in Stepanakert convey real and objective information to the international organizations regarding the situation in Artsakh.
"Red Cross, you are not up to the par, you do not adequately present the situation in Artsakh. Transfer complete information about the catastrophic situation in Artsakh to your headquarters," stated the minister of state of Artsakh, expecting that in the near future the head of the ICRC office in Stepanakert will inform that their demand has been transferred to international organizations.
Separately, Artsakh Human Rights Defender (ombudsman) Gegham Stepanyan asked a question: "Red Cross, don't you see what is happening [in Artsakh]? Raise an alarm to the whole world!"
Also, the participants of the nationwide movement demanded the reopening of the Lachin corridor, noting that the Red Cross is not carrying out its mission.
Subsequently, they marched to headquarters of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh to present to the Russian peacekeepers a demand and request to have Artsakh unblocked and to stop the course of humanitarian disaster in Artsakh.
Afterward, the rally of the nationwide movement will continue at Renaissance Square of Stepanakert on a practically daily basis.
