Doubling aid to war-torn Ukraine is the "single best" way to help the global economy, US Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen said on the sidelines of the G20 summit in India, AFP reports.
Yelen also stated that she will counter criticism that there is a trade-off between helping Ukraine and developing countries.
"Ending this war is first and foremost a moral imperative. But it's also the single best thing we can do for the global economy." she said.
Yellen also pointed to efforts to overcome the debt crisis of countries facing economic difficulties, banking reforms and the global tax agreement, and warned that it is premature to talk about removing customs duties from China.
