Syrian President Bashar al-Assad welcomed Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani at the People's Palace in Damascus, who arrived in the country on an official visit, SANA reports.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, Trade Minister Atheer Salman, and Lieutenant General Qais Rahima, Commander of Joint Operations, were also part of the delegation.
The Syrian President and the Iraqi Prime Minister discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, the intensification of cooperation in a number of fields, coordination on various political issues, as well as shared efforts in combating terrorism.
