The head of Crimea announced the suspension of traffic on the Crimean bridge due to an emergency situation in the 145th support area of the Krasnodar region, reports RIA Novosti.

Sergey Aksyonov urged residents of Crimea and guests of the peninsula to refrain from driving over the Crimean bridge and to choose an alternative route through new regions.

In turn, the Ministry of Transport of Russia reported that the road section of the Crimean bridge openings was damaged by Crimea.

Meanwhile, according to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar region, a child was injured in an accident on the Crimean bridge.

A little later, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, confirmed the information that a 14-year-old girl was injured as a result of an incident. Her parents are dead.

Due to an accident on the Crimean bridge, there is a traffic jam on the peninsula side.

Currently, the ferry service to Crimea is also not operating.
