A motion to arrest Hero of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), former secretary of Artsakh Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan has been submitted to the court. Balasanyan's lawyer Rafayel Martirosyan told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"The motion will be considered at 11:30[am] at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction of the Republic of Artsakh", Martirosyan added.

Artsakh law enforcement officers detained Vitaly Balasanyan on July 14. He was taken into custody on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 337, Section 1 of the Artsakh Criminal Code, which defines “to use violence that is not dangerous to life or health against a representative of the authorities or his close relative, or threaten to use violence in connection with the performance of his official duties.”
