At 11pm Monday, Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly (NA) speaker Artur Tovmasyan announced during an emergency meeting with the leaders of the NA factions and chairpersons of NA standing committees that he was joining President Arayik Harutyunyan in the sit-in that started at Renaissance Square of capital Stepanakert. Armenian News-NEWS.am learns about this from the Artsakh parliament.

The speaker of the Artsakh legislature noted that the sit-in is an extreme means of struggle, but not the most extreme.

"The complete siege of Artsakh [by Azerbaijan] leads to the worst extreme day by day, which will cause irreversible consequences," said Tovmasyan.
