Hero of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), former secretary of Artsakh Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan has been charged under four articles of the Artsakh Criminal Code, Balasanyan's lawyer Rafayel Martirosyan informed.

"He has been charged with theft of property, illegal possession of weapons, ammunition, carrying out non-dangerous violence against a representative of the [Artsakh] authorities, [and] possession of narcotics," explained the attorney.

Vitaly Balasanyan was detained on the night of July 13.

But on Monday, the court denied the motion to arrest Balasanyan, and he was released from custody.
