North Korea launched several cruise missiles towards the Yellow Sea, TASS reports, citing Yonhap and South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).

According to officials, the rockets were launched at about 04:00 local time. The US and South Korean militaries are currently analyzing the data to determine the characteristics of the launched missiles. Seoul added that the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea stay vigilant towards possible subsequent launches and are coordinated with their American colleagues.

"Our military has bolstered surveillance and vigilance while closely cooperating with the United States and maintaining a firm readiness posture," JCS said.
