YEREVAN. – By the order of Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, several senior officers are dismissed and three generals are reprimanded.

“Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan on October 7 signed an order, whereby the military personnel responsible for the car accident, which occurred on October 3 during a camp meeting at Baghramyan Training Center and which resulted in a casualty, are penalized. Several senior officers, including military unit’s commander, are relieved of their duties, and several senior military personnel, including three generals, are reprimanded. Disciplinary penalties are part of everyday work, and if press releases were not previously issued on this on every occasion, this does not mean that senior military personnel were not subjected to disciplinary penalties up to now,” Defense Minister’s Press Secretary Davit Karapetyan’s clarification reads.
