I have neither a mandate nor a need to discuss the issue of delivering aid to Nagorno Karabakh via Aghdam, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press conference in response to a question whether the statement of European Council President Charles Michel in Brussels that Azerbaijan's proposal to provide a humanitarian corridor to Nagorno Karabakh via Aghdam is important, was a surprise for him.

"It was not a surprise, but I did not discuss such a question, because I have neither the need nor mandate to discuss such a question. And I have to discuss the question of the Lachin Corridor, because it is included in the agreement of November 9, of which I am one of the signatories," Pashinyan said.

Regarding the international community’s stance on the situation in Nagorno Karabakh, Pashiyan said that it takes steps and expresses a position regarding addressing the situation in Nagorno Karabakh.

According to him, one such example is the resolution adopted by the Council of Europe, many countries in turn have expressed unequivocal positions at the last session of the OSCE Permanent Council, and the International Court of Justice has expressed a clear position.

“Are these efforts enough? No! I am saying this just for the record. But we are a little delusioned that it is the international community that needs what we can do for the settlement of the problem," Pashinyan added.
