The President of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) Arayik Harutyunyan has initiated an extraordinary session of the National Assembly that will convene at 16:00 p.m. on July 27.

The session is expected to be dedicated to the worsening humanitarian situation in Nagorno Karabakh, NEWS.am understands, sparked because of the blockade organized by Azerbaijan for several months now.  

More than 120,000 residents of Nagorno Karabakh have up until now been deprived of basic necessities because of the blockade.

Armenia has announced that it is sending 400 tons of humanitarian aid to Nagorno Karabakh. The trucks are set to take the aid to Kornidzor and then it will be transfered to Nagorno Karabakh with the help of Russian peacekeepers.
