The process of reconciliation of Russia's two brotherly peoples should also cover the humanitarian sphere, as was noted in the tripartite statement of the leaders of the Russian Federation, Armenia and Azerbaijan dated October 31, 2022, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Maria Zakharova, said at a weekly briefing.

“It is important to create a positive atmosphere for continuing the dialogue between representatives of the public, the expert communities, the religious leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia with Russia's assistance, as well as for launching inter-parliamentary contacts in order to strengthen trust between the peoples of the two countries. The Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization is not going easily, as we all perfectly see and understand, but there is no alternative to peace. Related issues were discussed yesterday at the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. We expect that the mentioned contacts will be made in the coming months,” she noted.
