The Head of the European Union Mission in Armenia, Markus Ritter, who monitors the transport of humanitarian aid from Armenia to Artsakh on the way to the Lachin corridor, told reporters that he was personally in Kornidzor so that the public could see what was happening.

“Since the beginning of our mission, we are patrolling alongside the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, in the confrontation line, and monitoring the situation at the border. We are visiting villages in the conflict-affected areas and report to Brussels about what is happening here. By reporting we are supporting the peace negotiations and the peacekeeping efforts of the European Union. The entry to the Lachin Corridor belongs to our area of responsibility, and we are observing what will happen here today,” he told reporters.
