Troubled by news that 68-year-old patient, being transported from [Artsakh] Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia for medical treatment, accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross, was abducted at illegally installed checkpoint by border guard service of Azerbaijan, RA MFA Spokesperson Ani Badalyan wrote on X.

“Abduction of person under international humanitarian protection is flagrant violation of IHL,” she said.
