We hope that the genocidal policy implemented by Azerbaijan will soon be stopped through active and strict international intervention, Arayik Harutyunyan, President of the Republic of Artsakh, wrote on Facebook. 

"Dear compatriots,

The security and humanitarian situation in Artsakh is getting worse day by day, and Azerbaijan is tightening the threats and restrictions against our people, the latest manifestation of which was the kidnapping of Vagif Khachatryan, who is under the protection of international humanitarian law, from an illegal checkpoint. On the other hand, there is a certain intensification of international efforts aimed at resolving the situation.

Summing up the interim results of some of the processes so far carried out by us and specific international actors, I plan to give an exclusive interview to the Public Television of Artsakh in a few days. I will present the situation, risks and prospects as openly as possible. Then, I will start consultations with all active political circles in order to discuss what we need to do and make appropriate decisions.

We hope that the policy of genocide pursued by Azerbaijan will soon be stopped as a result of active and tough international intervention. At the same time, we are always open to discussing all problems and finding solutions through peace and negotiations, but this also requires proper international participation and guarantees,” the President said.
