Sanction codes are published by the US government or the EU, but not the Armenian Cabinet of Ministers. Considering the high risk associated with certain goods, in May, we made a decision to implement export control measures for 38 six-digit goods. This will enable us to conduct additional inspections and ensure that our companies do not fall under secondary sanctions. This was stated by the Minister of Economy of Armenia Vahan Kerobyan in an interview with journalists on August 1.
“At the moment, according to the information I have, less than 10 companies have been sanctioned. In some cases, we are trying to discuss the issue of withdrawing these companies from sanctions, given that these are organizations that have worked and are working in Armenia for many years,” Kerobyan said.
