Azerbaijan has fired in the direction of the Kapan city airport. The Republic of Armenia National Security Service (RA NSS) issued a statement about this.

According to the statement, at 4:24am Friday, an unidentified person who came from the Azerbaijani side with a car to the area adjacent to the Syunik Airport in Kapan city of Armenia’s Syunik Province, on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, fired three shots in the direction of the aforementioned airport and left.

Two of the bullets damaged a window and the roof of the airport.

"We call on the authorities of Azerbaijan to carry out a proper investigation on the incident and to take measures to exclude the repetition of such incidents.

"The RA NSS Border Guard troops are ready for joint investigation and/or transfer relevant videos to the Azerbaijani side," the NSS added.
