YEREVAN. – The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia on Wednesday fixed a new wholesale price for Internet, which is 35,600 drams (approx. $95 US) for 1MB/second, PSRC member Samvel Arabajyan said during a briefing with news reporters. The decision comes into effect on November 15.

Arabajyan also reminded that the previous price was 174,000 drams ($464). In general, there is a sharp decline in the wholesale price of Internet in Armenia, and the price reduced more than 150 times in the past five years.

Samvel Arabajyan explained that the reason for this reduction in prices is attributed to the sharp increase in the number of Internet users and the international online traffic.
