The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Azerbaijan has expressed a protest to France regarding the sending of humanitarian cargo to Nagorno-Karabakh.
French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Boillon was summoned to the Azerbaijani MFA Thursday.
“In the course of the meeting, Boillon was handed a note of protest in connection with the sending of vehicles by France in the direction of Lachin border checkpoint under the guise of ‘humanitarian cargo,’ accompanied by the leaders of several French cities (including the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo), and the fact that they made provocative statements against Azerbaijan," Trend reported citing the Azerbaijani MFA.
Capital Paris and several regions of France have sent a convoy of humanitarian aid to besieged Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Azerbaijan, which keeps the 120,000-strong population of Artsakh in a complete blockade, is upset with the attempts of Armenia and the international community to help Artsakh.
