Dear compatriots, 32 years have passed since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence of [Artsakh] Nagorno-Karabakh, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan said in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the Proclamation of Artsakh Republic.
“During those years, the Declaration became a lifeline for the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Unfortunately, Azerbaijan's threats to our compatriots do not stop, the blockade leaves irreversible consequences on their way of life. 120,000 Armenians wake up every day with uncertainty, expectation and threat. And even the view of the civilized world does not stop Azerbaijani aspirations, and the decision of the international high authority is not being implemented.
We continue to talk about the issues of security and protection of the rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, expecting strong support from our international partners.
Glory to all the brave men who died for the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh, we wish strong will and endurance to our compatriots living in their homeland,” the message says.
