Criminal proceedings on attempted murder were launched Saturday at Syunik provincial investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, shamshyan.com reports.
On that day, at around 3am, shots were fired from an area controlled by the Azerbaijani side towards the Syunik Airport.
There were three shots, two of which hit the exterior walls of the airport's arrival hall and control room, penetrated inside, and damaged property.
There were no injuries as a result of the shooting.
