Past daily of Armenia writes: These days, it is a period of broad political discussions in Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)].

According to the information of Past newspaper, before the discussion of the possible matter of the AR [(Artsakh Republic)] presidential candidates in the parliament, the political forces are trying to clarify their positions. 

Our Artsakh source informs that at the moment the main [presidential] candidate is AR Minister of State, former Secretary of the SC [(Security Council)] Samvel Shahramanyan, who has the broadest political and social support. In Artsakh, they say that Shahramanyan has become a consensus candidate for a number of reasons: first, he is non-partisan, he never interfered in internal political situations and intrigues due to his position (mostly he was in power positions), as well as he was honest with all colleagues in all respects.

According to our Artsakh source, that is why there is respect for Shahramanyan, and regardless of whether they support his candidacy or not, there is a consensus, especially in terms of being mutually conceivable. 

(…). The thing is that [departing Artsakh President] Arayik Harutyunyan and other political forces, by the way, including extra-parliamentary [ones], also have liking for him.

(...) in essence, it seems that a broad social and political consensus is forming in Artsakh around Shahramanyan.
