Russia drew the most serious attention of the allies in Armenia to the fact that their military exercises with the US are perceived in Moscow with an element of concern. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov said this in an interview with TASS.

"Moscow assumes that it is necessary [for Armenia] to adhere to the practice of conducting military exercises with the [other] CSTO [member] countries," said Ryabkov.

"Armenia is an ally [of Russia] along the lines of the CSTO, we were guided and are guided by the fact that based on the spirit of being allies, it is necessary to adhere to the practice of [conducting] military exercises with those who are part of that union," he said.

"Of course, we paid attention to it. And we drew the most serious attention of our Armenian allies, allies in Armenia, to the fact that it is perceived by us with an element of concern," added the Russian diplomat.

The Ministry of Defense of Armenia on Wednesday announced that Armenian-American joint military exercises will be conducted in Armenia, from September 11 to 20. Their stated objective is to increase the level of interoperability within the framework of peacekeeping missions.
