Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani says that Azerbaijani officials have told Tehran that they have no intention to carry out a military attack against Armenia, Mehr reported.

"We are in contact with the authorities of both the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the Armenian authorities have expressed concern about the possibility of [raising] a new military conflict from Azerbaijan," Kanaani said in his weekly presser on Monday.

He added that Azerbaijani authorities notified Iran that they have no intention to carry out a military attack and that the recent movements are a conventional military action on the eve of the winter season.

Iran assures that its borders are safe, and it continues to follow the developments in the Caucasus with seriousness, Nasser Kanaani underscored.
