Gohar Hayriyan, a resident of Stepanakert, the capital city of Artsakh/Nagorno Karabakh has told NEWS.am what she saw during the selling by Azerbaijani Armed Forces. She says that the house in front of their house was razed to the ground by a shell.
"There are shots, we don't know what to do, my children are now in the neighbors' basement, we gathered together with the neighbors. Next to our house there is an abyss, and above the abyss there is a house which was razed to the ground. We can't call each other, the connections are very bad," she said.
Gohar Hayriyan further said that at this time Azerbaijan is hitting Artsakh harder than during the 44-day war. "This is even stronger,” she said, adding that they use all kinds of weapons at their disposal.
Earlier NEWS.am reported that Azerbaijan՛s Armed Forces started to use artillery along the entire line of contact in Nagorno Karabakh as of 1 p.m. on September 19, attempting to penetrate into the depth of the defense line of the Defense Forces of Nagorno Karabakh.
Stepanakert, the capital of Nagorno Karabakh, as well as other settlements are under heavy selling now. The Human Rights Defender of Nagorno Karabakh, Gegham Stepanyan, reported that there are multiple casualties and injuries among civilians, including children.
