The official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, has emphasized that Moscow has never initiated tensions in its relations with Armenia and expects its signals to be appropriately received by Yerevan. This statement came in response to a question about Armenia's reaction to a recent statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's appeal on September 24.

“...I think that even a deaf person would have heard, this is not just a question of Moscow’s reaction, this is a question of the reaction as a whole that has swept across the world...” she said.

Zakharova stressed the widespread global response to the situation and expressed confidence that their signals will be well received. She also emphasized Russia's commitment to nurturing allied relations with Armenia, citing past support for the Armenian people during challenging times.

Zakharova assured that bilateral cooperation agreements will continue to be implemented for the benefit of both nations.
