It is not necessary to pay attention to those who make various kinds of extremist statements that question the relations between Russia and Armenia; all this will pass. This was announced Wednesday by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry.

"We know who is behind this and who incites such sentiments. The people of Armenia have gone through many trials in their lives, experienced tragedies that have probably never happened to any other people. And they know who is an enemy, who is a friend, who is... The people of Armenia know that help from Russia has always been in various formats. And the Armenian people know and remember this, despite the fact that now huge resources are allocated to the information processing of the media space inside Armenia. Two thousand people—the employees of the US embassy in Armenia—are busy with this," she noted.

"We all see it, everyone sees it, and this too shall pass. I really want all this to pass with minimal consequences, although we see that where the American foot touches or what the American hand touches, unfortunately, it is subject to the deepest crises. We are now seeing it in the region, as in the last year it was the Western world—Washington, Brussels, Paris—who declared themselves as new mediators and new guarantors. You see what all this has led to," said Zakharova.

"Russia continues to fulfill its mission. Our peacekeepers are in the region; this is the best confirmation of our intentions and true attitude," added the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry.
