It’s fantasy! What can I say? Such a thing can be done only in the presence of a rich imagination. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry, Maria Zakharova, commenting on the statements by French President Emmanuel Macron, who called Russia an accomplice of Azerbaijan, which may threaten the territorial integrity of Armenia.

"In general, it is not clear what it’s about. Maybe the president of France knows something that apparently no one knows anymore. I would like to know what he means... It is another hypocritical attempt... With such statements, he hides the mechanics of what is happening; that is, we used to say that officials in Yerevan were trying to place the responsibility for their actions on others, and now we see that they are being pushed to do so... Here is the French president, who managed to use some strange vocabulary about a threat to territorial integrity, without specifying what exactly I meant, and right here to put the responsibility on Russia," she said.

"In exactly the same way, we see how they encouraged Yerevan to launch certain steps, putting the responsibility on Russia or someone else. We know these tricks of the French authorities by the example of African countries," Zakharova noted.

"The bias of the French representatives in the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process is obvious, when they act not from the position of a mediator who pursues the goal of restoring peace in the region, but exclusively for the realization of their own political interests," stated the official representative of the Russian foreign ministry.
