Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is holding an emergency meeting of the country's government amid a sharp deterioration of the situation around the Gaza Strip, TASS reports, citing the government office.
According to the report, the meeting is taking place in the complex of buildings of the Ministry of Defense and security forces of Israel in Tel Aviv, where Netanyahu arrived earlier on Saturday to hold operational meetings with the leadership of the security bloc regarding the situation around Gaza (the residence of the prime minister and the main government institutions are located in Jerusalem, ibid. The government usually sits there as well).
